Sky dinners (EXCLUSIVITE Planet Oasis) |

This is a big astronomical show that takes place as part of a gala dinner under the starlit sky, right in the middle of the Tozeur Date Grove..
Eleven telescopes and a refracting telescope using the new GPS-Astro technology are set up and connected to cameras and video projection systems to provide a live show on two giant screens, with the visible planets of the Solar System and the depths of space with countless galaxies and star clusters. For non-visible objects and the Sun, archival footage is featured.
This discovery of the heavens is orchestrated by A. Cassese, director of the Toulon-Rocbaron Observatory; he is a marvellous teller of star tales and a poet in his spare time.
This astronomical show is presented following each course of an elegant dinner.
The dinner continues between the astronomical lecturer’s talks, keeping pace with the sounds of Space.
At dinner’s end, each participant may observe various celestial bodies using the telescopes pointed towards different destinations, with explanations offered by our event hosts.
During the winter, Planet Oasis holds “Sky Dinners” from its heated conference space, specially set up for the occasion. After-dinner direct observations are not changed in any way and are held under the magnificent vault of Tozeur’s skies.

Planet Oasis organizes paintball tournaments in a dedicated space among the palm trees which all become natural obstacles.
Team-building through Paintball enables the discovery of hitherto unexplored aspects of the individual through action, self-control, authority and team spirit.

Excursions in the desert and mountain oases |

From Tozeur, you will cross the Chott EL Gharsa, the biggest salt lake after the Chott EL Jerid, located more than twenty meters below sea level, to discover the extreme East of the Atlas mountain chain and its succession of ochre gorges. You will visit three magnificent oases with mountain source springs.

Sunset and cocktail in the Star Wars dunes |

After crossing Nefta, an authentic South Tunisian city known for its famous “Corbeille (Basket) Oasis”, you will discover the first big Saharan dunes and at the end of the trail, the “Star Wars” site. On arrival you are offered a Saharan promenade on the back of a dromedary. And at sunset you arrive at the summit of a nearby dune to admire the magical display of colours of an almost always immaculate sky. Next you are served cocktails inside the mythical “star wars” site. |

Discovery of the palm grove and the medina by calash |

You will be off to discover one of the biggest palm groves in the world in the middle of gardens where the fragrance of roses and jasmines mingle. You will discover how the palm trees are artificially fertilized, the wonders of terrace agriculture and the irrigation system fed by its many springs. Then you can wander the small narrow streets of the medina, lined with traditional houses in a unique decor of time-aged bricks.

On Disco nights, up to 300 people are hosted by the Disc Jockey of their choice under a tent reserved for seminars and congresses adjacent to the Berber tent reserved for the gala dinners. Groups of more than 500 people can have a giant disco on the show esplanade which has excellent acoustics.
